WhatSync links your WhatsApp to the AI you already use, like ChatGPT or Claude. Your AI can then read your chats, tell you what you missed, find what people sent you, and draft replies that you approve before they go out.

Mostly to keep up. The most common requests are "summarise this group", "what happened in my chats today" and "who is still waiting for my reply". People also use it to find invoices, quotes, photos and order numbers, and to turn chats into a sheet or a to-do list.

A few minutes. Add WhatSync to your AI app, then scan a code from Linked devices in WhatsApp on your phone. No password, and nothing to install on your phone.

Yes. You link the number you already use, on iPhone or Android, including the WhatsApp Business app. You keep using WhatsApp as normal, and linking does not delete or change any chats on your phone.

Yes. In ChatGPT, open Apps, search for WhatSync, add it and sign in. Then link your WhatsApp. There is no URL to paste. In Claude, add it as a connector. ChatGPT setup, Claude setup.

Not officially any more. OpenAI's own ChatGPT number on WhatsApp stopped working in January 2026 after Meta changed its rules for AI chatbots, and Anthropic has no WhatsApp number for Claude. WhatSync works the other way round: it brings your own WhatsApp chats into ChatGPT or Claude, so you ask about them there.

Yes, up to 10 on one account. Add a number from your dashboard and pick a plan for it (extra numbers have no free trial). Each number keeps its own chats and settings, and when your AI replies in a chat it sends from the number that chat is on.

No. Like WhatsApp Web, the link keeps working while your phone is off. Open WhatsApp on your phone at least once every 14 days, or WhatsApp logs out its linked devices.

Yes. The free trial, Plus and Pro show your newest 1,000 older messages: 500 from one-on-one chats and 500 from groups. Max shows your whole history, as far back as your phone has it, and keeps filling in older chats. WhatSync keeps everything your phone sends, so moving to Max shows it all. More on what is saved.

Yes. On every paid plan all your groups are saved by default, and you can untick any group to hide it. The free trial shows a sample of your groups (your newest 500 older group messages); saving new group messages needs a paid plan. The WhatsApp Business API has no group chats, because Meta does not offer them there.

On Pro and up, yes. Voice notes are turned into text in any language, and photos, receipts and scanned documents are read, so your AI can search and quote them. On Plus your AI reads the text in typed PDFs and sees that a photo or voice note was sent, with its name or caption. Voice notes and photos in older chats brought in when you link are not read.

On Max, yes. In WhatsApp on your phone, open the one-on-one chat, tap the name, then Export chat (include media for voice notes and photos), and import the file on that chat in WhatSync. Messages already saved are skipped, and voice notes and photos in the export are read. Group chat exports can't be imported yet.

Yes. Many people have their AI check WhatsApp on a schedule, for example a morning task in ChatGPT or Codex that lists what came in and who is waiting for a reply.

Yes. Your AI writes the message and your AI app asks you to confirm before it goes. Check who it goes to and what it says, because you are responsible for what you approve.

From a personal number, 15 a day on the free trial and 50 a day on a paid plan, at most 5 a minute. Limits reset at midnight UTC. Through the WhatsApp Business API your AI can send 100 a day, and Meta's own limits apply.

Yes. In your settings you can hide any group, and hide one-on-one chats with certain people (Everyone except), or show only the people you pick. Hidden chats are kept, not deleted, so they come back if you show them again. To delete a chat for good, remove it in Chats.

We process them to provide the service. We don't sell them or use them for advertising. AI apps you connect, such as ChatGPT, handle data under their own terms. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Yes, it can happen. WhatsApp decides which numbers to restrict or ban, and WhatSync can't stop that or promise it won't happen. Sending lots of messages, messaging people who don't know you, or getting reported raises the risk. To lower it, AI apps can send only 15 messages a day from a personal number on the free trial and 50 on a paid plan. You're responsible for what you send. To message many customers, use the WhatsApp Business API.

Remove WhatSync from Linked devices in WhatsApp on your phone, whenever you like. It stops receiving your messages straight away.

Yes, 7 days. The trial saves your first 500 new messages from one-on-one chats, with up to 100 MB of files, and also shows your newest 1,000 older messages (500 from chats, 500 from groups), which do not count toward the 500. Saving new group messages and your full history come with a paid plan. There is one free trial per WhatsApp number.

Your AI apps, the API and saving new messages pause, and WhatsApp stays linked. We email you a date. Pick a plan before then and everything comes back. If you still have no plan 7 days after that email, we unlink your WhatsApp and delete your saved messages and files. Your login keeps working, so you can start again later.

Plus is $19 a month, Pro $29, Max $49, and Business $79 with the WhatsApp Business API. Paying yearly costs about 20% less (Plus works out at $15 a month). Each plan covers one number. See the pricing page.

Only to message many customers at once, or to send Meta approved templates and campaigns. For your own chats and groups, linking your WhatsApp is enough. Meta charges per Business API message, by country.
